The Activate programme takes you through a step-by-step process in which you bring a project from idea to completion.
Students generally spend between 4-10 hours a week on their project, depending on team and personal efficiency.
The first step is registration!
The next is to attend Launch Activate, the kick-off event. Launch Activate consists of an introduction to the programme as well as development workshops.
Launch Activate will be held on Saturday, the 10th of March for the whole day. On the evening of the event, you will be notified of your selection into the programme. Selected participants will be asked to return the next day to be allocated to a team of 4-5 people.
The programme costs $20, and is payable upon selection.
Those who wish to be a team leader in the programme will need to complete an application form and attend a short interview before being accepted into this position.
After three weeks of developing your ideas into a full plan you will present it to a panel - Dragons' Den style. Here, you will receive further guidance to revise and evaluate your ideas to help steer your team in the right direction.
After Dragons' Den, you will continue planning and implementing your idea until execution in Week 9 and 10 or semester. Your event will be part of Leadership Fortnight, which is a fortnight of events run by the Activate participants. This is when you turn your ideas into reality!
When you successfully execute your event you become an official graduate of the Activate Programme. Take your experience to the next level by going overseas or applying for management positions in other areas of AIESEC.
