What will I be doing?

You will work two back to back internships in both countries. Create an impact on developing nations through improving the quality of education of youths and raising awareness on current world issues, such as HIV/Aids, or environmental sustainability.

Work to make a positive change in the world this year.

Before you go:

  • Double the Fun is currently offered for the 3 months during Summer break (starting Nov/Dec)
  • Visa and invitation letter support and assistance
  • A buddy (a local student and AIESEC member studying at the local university in the city you will live in). You will have a chance to communivate with this buddy before you go, and they will make sure all of you arrangements are organised at their end, and stay in communication with your home university in New Zealand.
  • A preparation workshop to help you with culture shock, tips and tricks on being away from New Zealand, and a chance to meet past participants.

When you're there:

  • Airport pick up by your buddy, who will take you back to your accommodation
  • Welcoming party by the hosting AIESEC committee and other interns in the city
  • 24 hour availability of your buddy if you need help, such as with language or finding your way around!

Costs

  • There is a one off administration fee of $950 for Double the Fun internships
  • You need to cover your own visa, vaccinations, travel insurance, and flights; however, support is provided for these by AIESEC

Am I eligible?

You are eligible if you are:

  • Under the age of 30
  • Enrolled at a New Zealand tertiary institute (University or polytechnic), or have been enrolled at one within the last 2 years
