AIESEC is an organisation based in 1800 universities- in over 110 countries world wide that provides a platform for all students involved with tertiary education to put in to practice what they learn in their studies.
Tertiary study is very text book based, but through AIESEC, students can gain hands-on practical experience in running an organisation while they study. This can be done through two different points with AIESEC:
-Leadership Development
-Global Internship Program
Students can join AIESEC and get a hands on practical experience managing the daily operations of AIESEC on their campus. By being involved with AIESEC, students understand the importance of, and actively participate in a global learning environment, and are given the chance to be able to utilise this experience to create their own learning and development to help better prepare them for work after their graduation.
AIESEC was founded in 1948 as a way to encourage cross-cultural understanding and communication. The vision of AIESEC is to create “the peace and fulfilment of humankind’s potential”.

This program is a way where students can gain a deep cultural understanding, experience a unique culture first hand, and at the same time gain a valuable work experience for their CV!
In today’s work environment, students are needing more then just a degree to get a job. This is where experiences, such as a unique short term international work experience come in, to really help people gain a crucial learning experience.
Internships through AIESEC last anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 months. 6 to 8 weeks is the most popular internship duration, and fits in perfectly over the summer holidays.
